Can’t wait for the fall season. As you may know fall is when most of the tv shows re-air. They come back to suck me into my couch and dig myself a hole 6 feet under for not exercising. As you may know this boy over here likes Heroes, and I am not obsessed with it. k! After watching the 1st episode i was shocked at the development. as they know start to look and feel like the other comic book heroes. The fact that they have Superman Jr(Peter Petrelii) saving everyone and acquiring every single power, doesn’t feel like the Heroes i watched in 2007. Still amazing how they seem to lean towards to the cape-crusader direction with the introduction of villains. And i tell that those villains were created by morons. Geez. I haven’t seen a guy who has pyrokenisis do bad things. That said i have my fingers crossed that the writers will have the imagination and create something darker, bigger, more elegant than a bunch of goons with superpowers. It feels and looks really lazy to me.
Enough about my RL series rant and we’ll move on to cartoons. In fact my favorite genre, Anime. October looks very promising as it’ll be releasing two really hyped up mecha series. First the Gundam 00, everyone knows about that. Bandai do such a good job at shoving those toys inside of our brain that its hard to forget a year without Gundam. Fun fact number one about me, I like robots. Gundam is my favorite. Most importanly Gundam 00 is my favorite out of the bunch. (Sorry Gundam Wing)
Gundam 00 looks action pack with a hint of emo. Like last season it was filled with emo. From the trailers i saw it will have less emo and will present a bigger villain. Now that will fill up my carnage appetite. The story takes place 4 years after the questionable war between UN and Celestial Being. Questionable, because I just lost track why they are fighting this and that. All i remember is that people dying and crying and Marina’s clueless existence. Seriously why in the hell is she in this show. I don’t want a peace keeper. I want war mongers. Hopefully in Season they tie the relationship between Marina and the other characters. Please god let it happen.
October 5 is the Japanese showing and subs will probably come out the next day. OMG. I can’t wait. Now another mecha series that has caught my eye was the Linebarrel series. The fucking name doesn’t sound badass but it looks badass. The trailer and the action sequences shown looks alot like NGE. This is directed by the Pokemon guy but this time he added nudity to attract more pre-pubecent boys. He might even put Snorlax in the mix just to pay homage to his earlier perverted creation.
And finally, this one is not mecha but it looks like Gatchaman so im gonna give this one a shot since i love the G-men. The title is called Cassern Sins base on a Japanese movie about a cyborg fighting cyborgs. This time is animated so it’ll be very appealing to the viewers. I haven’t read anything about the movie or the series plot for that matter. The trailer was just so good it got me hooked up.
Now, now. What should i do next? Hm……
